RELIEF COUNTRYSIDE AND CLIMATE

Due to its geographical situation and the mountain ranges which surround it, Marbella enjoys a special micro-climate, with mild temperatures all the year round.
The average annual temperature is about 19ºC and the sunshines 320 days per year with less than 50 rainy days per year.
Marbella has 27 kms of beach of which 12 kms are blue zones, which will increase with time. Marbella is naturally blue and green. The contribution to the ecological maintenance of the are can be seen in the many hectares of pines which can be found principally in four areas: Elviria, where the beauty and abundance of the pines extend to the sand dunes on the beach. Puente Pala. It is situated to the norh east of the town where a natural waterfall with a considerable flow in winter can be found. From there the pines stretch towards Puerto Rico Alto where the ascending path to the mountain begins and leads to the Cruz of Juanar. The pine trees of Nagüeles, , on the low lands of Sierra Blanca and which are classified as a natural leisure park with installations for camping and picnics.

Unofficially regarded as the capital of the western Costa del Sol, Marbella has undoubtedly sufficient elements to be one of the most important tourist centres in Spain: beaches, history, leisure and entertaining offer, sports, nightlife, luxury, etc.
Thanks to its privileged location, at the foot of Sierra Blanca and on the beachfront, Marbella offers excellent weather and beautiful landscapes.
